Wind River launches cloud-native edge platform used by Verizon

Wind River has launched Studio, a cloud-native platform for the development, deployment, operations, and servicing of mission-critical intelligent systems.

The first iteration of the platform simplifies the deployment and management of intelligent 5G distributed edge clouds.

End-to-end network software provider Mavenir launches MEC solution

Mavenir, an end-to-end network software and systems integration provider for 4G and 5G, has launched a MEC (Multi-Access Edge Computing) solution.

MEC enables carriers to securely open their Radio Access Network (RAN) edge to authorised third-parties while providing the flexibility required for application and service innovation.

Applications running at the edge can use MEC to access content and real-time information under local-access network conditions.

Cisco and AT&T partner up on IP edge routing platform

Cisco and US telecoms giant AT&T have joined forces to deploy a next-gen open disaggregated IP edge routing platform.

The hardware used for the solution is the same as previously announced for AT&T’s IP/MPLS core. However, Cisco’s IOS-XR software will now be integrated.

Duckietown offers free edge AI course using NVIDIA’s Jetson Nano
